final rant of the night
I am a vegetarian (despite appearances) and I disagree completely with the whole seasherpard bollocks. Firstly the leader is a Greenpeace reject who decided to go for a quick buck and televise his futile efforts. Secondly all they do is anger the whalers who have years of experience hunting whales and can easily just turn away and nab extra endangered species (plus their last attempt at stopping the whalers resulted in their prize boat getting cut in half). Thirdly dont sympathy story your way into getting peoples interests! There are far harder working anti whalers at work who dont do it so they can say "AHMAGAD IM ON TV LOOOK AT MEEEEE" they do it because they generally believe in the course and do as much as they can to cause the whalers to get bored and fuck off home like they should.

bass way
Im pretty sure the bands tonight had better bassists than me because their fingering seemed significantly better than mine though since i spent most of the time watching the second band play wondering how in fucks name he could afford 1k+ worth of Musicman Stingray bass love i guess he could afford some top notch lessons and I'm self taught. Though tbf had lessons in violin and trumpet (like the latter matters)
Position on glam rock
Saw a few indie (and one semi indie) glam bands... first singer was utter shit so payed no attention. Second was a guns'n'roses cover/tribute band whether they like to call themselves that or not.... fucking horrible! could only hear the singer drummer and rhythm guitarist and they all have stupid expensive instruments. the people (cept the singer) may have been awesome players but couldn't hear them for fuck. 3rd was a Metallica tribute band which was definitely my favourite band of the night (again they might not call themselves that but they are) and lastly was the main band which I'm afraid to say (very sorry Laura) no, just no. Theres a film with mark warlberg where he plays the lead of a "metal" band which is a perfect example why its a no.

verdict of said cube
Meh, i know it was pretty unique for his time and most of the stuff is from the 60's and stuff but there wasnt a lot drawing me in. The weather calendar was pretty cool though
Ze cube
off to check out some guy called aaron fletchers work for some bollocks critical review i might have to write on him. This will be the last of the 3 options to check out, so far the film persepolis (i think its called) is winning in my book
horne and bordem
still fucking despise the pair. they live off the success off some tv show theyre in which they dont do any writing for and swim down the gravy train despite being utter fucking shit!
